2. Hosting

This website is hosted on a dedicated server in Germany/the EU (Coolify platform).

When you access our website, the hosting provider stores information such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the referring URL, and your browser and operating system. This data is necessary to operate the website and protect our systems. It is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in system security and stability).

3. Data collected and processed

3.1 Data collected automatically

Each time you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically collects the following data:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Referring URL (the page you came from)
  • Browser and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages and content accessed
  • HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred

3.2 Contact form data

You can submit your name, email address and message through the contact form. We process this data only to respond to your enquiry and do not pass it on to third parties. Messages are sent through Resend, Inc. (USA), under a data processing agreement.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

3.3 Language selection and essential cookies

If you have not selected or previously saved a language, we use the IP address associated with your request to determine an appropriate language through a locally stored country database. The IP address is not sent to the database provider for this lookup and is not stored by this function. If no country can be determined, we use your browser language.

If you explicitly choose German or English, we store your choice for up to one year in an essential cookie (dl_language). The cookie contains only the language code and is not used for advertising or analytics. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; automatic language selection will then apply again.

We do not use tracking pixels, web beacons or analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Matomo. Visits are not tracked for marketing purposes.

4. Legal bases for processing

Under Article 6 GDPR, personal data is processed on the following legal bases:

  • Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent (for example, through the contact form)
  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract (for example, handling enquiries)
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests (hosting security, system stability and abuse prevention)

5. Data retention

Data collected automatically by the hosting provider is stored for an appropriate period, usually 7–30 days, unless a longer period is necessary for security reasons.

Contact form data is stored only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. It is deleted once the matter is complete unless statutory retention duties apply.

6. SSL encryption

This website uses SSL encryption (HTTPS) to protect data during transmission. You can identify this by the lock icon in your browser’s address bar. Data transferred between your browser and our server is encrypted.
