Film platform for movies, reviews, PLAY and community
An independent media platform for film fans, featuring cinema trends, film pages, editorial content, interactive PLAY formats and community features, built on a fast PHP/SQLite platform.
The challenge.
A film platform needs to load quickly, work well on mobile and support editorial content without mixing it with TV series. It also needs dynamic film and people data, community features and secure editorial tools.
What we built.
An independent PHP/SQLite platform with TMDB integration, a film-only profile, editorial modules, a PLAY section, community contributions and legal and cookie flows. Production and development data and configuration are kept separate.

What changed in measurable terms.
Kinokritiker stays focused on cinema and film, without exposing series content as part of its editorial experience.
Interactive formats such as a daily quiz, soundtrack features and editorial games are integrated into the platform.
Production platform with its own data storage, SEO routes, sitemap and room to expand editorial content.
More than a website: the platform behind it.
